So… Here We Go Again
Trying to stop waiting for the perfect niche and start creating again
I’ve started blogs before.
I’ve started YouTube channels before.
I’ve started businesses before.
Some of them lasted. Most of them didn’t.
For years I’ve had this idea in the back of my mind that I wanted to create something online. Not because I wanted to be famous or because I thought I’d get rich, but because I genuinely enjoy sharing things I’m interested in and hearing from people who are interested in the same stuff.
The problem is I’ve spent way too much time trying to figure out exactly what my “thing” is.
Gaming? Cars? Aviation? Business? Music? Outdoors?
I’ve gone in circles trying to pick the perfect niche.
The older I get, the more I realize that’s probably the wrong question.
I’ve done a lot of different things over the years. I’ve worked on aircraft, played drums, gone to school for music production, volunteered as a firefighter, worked in trucking, spent way too much money on vehicles, chased business ideas, and picked up more hobbies than I can count.
Some worked out. Some didn’t.
Most of them taught me something.
So instead of trying to force myself into one category, I’m just going to write about what’s on my mind.
Sometimes that’ll be a story from years ago.
Sometimes it’ll be a project I’m working on right now.
Sometimes it’ll be a lesson I learned the hard way.
And sometimes it’ll probably just be me trying to figure out what comes next.
If you’ve ever felt like your life doesn’t fit neatly into one box, you’ll probably fit in just fine here.
Anyway, thanks for stopping by.
We’ll see where this goes.
